Describe what “not opening” means
Does the app close immediately, stop on a loading screen, or reach an access screen that rejects sign-in? Note the last screen that remains visible. A file-install problem has a different starting point from a launch problem.
If Android rejected installation, use installer help. If the app stays open at sign-in, use account-access help.
Keep each check small
- Record the context. Model, Android version, installed app version and the last successful screen.
- Try a normal restart. Then observe whether the same stage fails. Device controls vary by manufacturer.
- Check relevant notices. Use the identified publisher for a service or release issue and the phone manufacturer for device behaviour.
- Review the result. Change one thing at a time so that the observation remains useful.
Keep recovery in view
Removing an app or clearing its data can affect local state. Record how an existing account or progress can be recovered before taking those steps. A repeat download of the same file is not evidence that a launch problem has been addressed.
If a newer release is recommended, use the update workflow and keep the starting version with the support report.
